North Bay, Ontario (January 18, 2024) – TWG Communications Wins Silver at the 2023 Summit International Awards for the new Town of Huntsville Community Brand. This significant recognition reflects TWG Communications’ ongoing commitment to creating innovative and exciting branding work for their clients.
William Ferguson, TWG Creative Director/Partner said, “Winning a Summit award is always significant and we are very proud to take home silver for our design of the new Huntsville Community brand.”
In its 29th year, the Summit Creative Award commemorates the achievements of small and medium-sized advertising agencies on a global scale. This award is a prestigious accolade that signifies a high distinction in the industry.
The Huntsville brand won amongst a competitive field of over 3,900 submissions from 28 different countries. The panel of judges for this year, spanning over a dozen countries, assessed entries across 16 categories. Employing a blind judging process, their objective was to acknowledge innovative concepts, impactful user experiences, and effective communication strategies.
“This is truly an honour and a testament to the talent of our team and the quality of the work we do at TWG,” said Ferguson. “It is also continuing confirmation that our highly collaborative approach to agency/client engagement pays dividends for our clients.”
The TWG team worked closely with members from various Town of Huntsville community groups to create the new community brand. The project called for extensive community consultations through surveys, stakeholder focus groups, and ongoing interactions to ensure the campaign resonated with the diverse perspectives and needs of the community.
“This recognition highlights the power of the new community brand,” said Lisa Spolnik, Huntsville’s Manager of Marketing and Communications. “This is such great news for the community and what a fantastic way to start off the New Year.”
The brand will be rolled out in 2024 for various purposes supporting economic development, citizen and investment retention and attraction, tourism and wayfinding and will complement existing community branding.
Ferguson added, “This was a fantastic project providing Huntsville with a contemporary, stylish brand with long term appeal and recognition, which were all the high points of the project brief.”
